Crackdown Slows Refugees

Far fewer Tibetan refugees are reaching India since China’s 2008 crackdown. The chief refugee coordinator for Tibet’s exiled government in Dharamsala, India, told RFA that Chinese authorities have increased pressure on border areas since last March, making the journey even more perilous.
