A peaceful scholar and professor, Tohti did nothing wrong by international legal standards. Nothing but one of the world's most despotic regimes would choose to lock him up and throw away the key. As Mencius said, a tyrannical regime is fiercer than a tiger.

shocked from Sydney :

There are not many people in the world who would be brave enough stand up to such ruthless regimes like the Chinese government. The world owes it to people like Tohti who would ensure the voice of the disadvantaged and discriminated is heard.

I just can't imagine how any government can carry out such blatant injustice.

I am really worried about what he will have to go through in the prison.
