Mark :

Professor Tohti has never advocated or carried out violence against the Han Chinese or any other people. He fully deserves the Sakharov Prize, and should be released from his PRC jail and allowed to return to his job as a professor.

“On the contrary, it demonstrated its support for the rightful cause of the Uyghur people, and showed it they will not stand idly by as China conducts a campaign of oppression against the Uyghurs.”//////Uighurs are innocent and peaceful people? In 2009 Uighurs went on a rampage and killed thousands of innocent Han Chinese and went on Jihad after that killing innocent Han Chinese in train stations in the name of their religion. After China took steps to stop them by rounding them up there hasn't been any more attacks since 18th September 2015.
