Hotan is a majority Uyghur town. Why the reporter of this article did not interview any Uyghur from that city. Both people quoted in this article are Han Chinese, who usually don't show much sympathy when government cracks down on Uyghurs

According to Uighurs this was a peaceful protest which turned violent when the Chinese police began firing indiscriminately into the crowd. China admits killing at least 14 people. Tragedies like this Hotan Massacre are sure to repeat themselves as long as China denies Uighur basic human rights & treats them like 2nd class citizens.
