sad to hear this. the people who force to comply remove it may end up borning in hell because of the goverment policy. and those who get the slight chance of hope to get heal end up also gone. they had no idea that those prayer wheel can heal sickness where the current medicine can not do. i suppose they don't care anyway, it is not them or their beloved one who has sickness that the present medical system cannot cure.

Wangchuk from NY :

Clearly "Anonymous Reader" is some 50 Cent Party member or CCP cadre who can't understand Tibetan or read Tibetan names. That's why he/she constantly complains about the lack of Chinese pinyin spelling of Tibetan towns/counties/vilages. But these areas are in Tibet, not China, and they should be spelled in a way that matches closest the Tibetan pronounciation. Chinese attempts to change the way Tibetan towns/counties and personal names are spelled & pronounced is another way China is colonizing Tibet.

JK from London :

I hope one day that these innocent Tibetans are able to reinstate even bigger and better prayer wheels. China needs to leave Tibet alone - they are attempting to culturally cleanse a nation which has no interest in being chinese. I hope one day all Tibetan monastaries and centres of cultural importance are restored to their original state, and that the rest of the world should help in this process. Free Tibet!

Dzora Town,

What, and where is such a place located? Why are such indecipherable names given in such weird spellings? Is it deliberate, or simple, highly paid incompetent don't-care attitude that the US taxpayer foots the bill for?
