Bans on Dalai Lama photos in Tibet & China demonstrates the lack of freedom of religion & freedom of speech that exists under CCP rule. If you can go to jail for a photo of the Dalai Lama or the Tibetan flag or the Dalai Lama's teachings or songs for Tibetan human rights, then that society isn't free.
