I agree w/ Sikyong Sangay's comments about Chinese policies in Tibet but disagree there can be genuine autonomy for Tibet without democracy. The original Middle Way proposal was for democracy & free elections in Tibet. But in 2010, the CTA gave up that claim & Sangay confirmed it earlier this year. What is the point in fighting for Tibet's freedom if it will mean that Tibet will still be ruled by the Chinese Communist Party? Only democracy & respect for constitutional law can guarantee genuine autonomy and China respects neither.
