China is detaining religious leaders who have done no crime. The world should put pressure on China to release all of the religious Tibetan monks immediately

Reply to this commentPreeeety Funny. Ask the Lama if he knows Nirvana...or if it exists. He does not.
You can always read his books...where he says so.....hmmmm? We're all pretty holy without a holy leader...who doesn't know Nirvan

Reply to this commentIt seems some commentators are working for the CCP. Beijing abducted a small Tibetan boy & chose their own Panchen Lama. This is a political issue for Beijing to try to control Tibetans & oppose the Dalai Lama's influence in Tibet (which outweighs the CCP). CCP has no legal or religious or moral authority to choose the Panchen Lama or any Tibetan religious leader. It's a clear violation of religious freedom & should be condemned by all freedom-loving people.

Reply to this comment"Calls Grow!" Really? Isn't this just journalistic hyperbole? In a few days this issue for the most part will be filed away until next April. In truth there was more outrage and publicity 20 years ago.

Untrue, 'anonymous reader'. Outage and disgust is still very present for many of us who live in hope that the Panchen Lama will one day be freed and come home. China is cruel and should be made accountable by the whole world for their despicable actions. Shame China.
