If there are rights of self-determination for the ethnic States were guaranteed, they (ethnic people) will never consider the secession from the Union of Burma. Union of Burma is formed by ethnic leaders and Aung San, father of Suu Kyi with the promise of equal rights, self-determination and democratic
system at Panglong, Shan State in 1947.
Now Union of Burma is Union in form and Unitary in practice. Without their participation and will in drawing the constitution, how can they accept the constitution? Consider, if you were the ethnic people, how will you feel?
Without any rights were guaranteed, how can they give up their arms? It is so easy to establish the peace and stability if all Burmese soldiers were withdrawn from ethnic States, the real Union of Burma will restore, democratic, peace and stability would 100% come.
