Thein Maung :

when will the Muslims of Arakan accept the truth/fact that the problems of today are the creation of their own:
1.when will they accept the fact that the Rohingya is a word introduced by Mr. Abdul Gaffar MP Maungdaw - when in 1947, he submitted a mmemo to the Govt. of Burma to refer to the Muslims of Arakan in particular as Rohingyas and not Indian Muslims, as they have been referred to in all British Burma Census.
2.when will they accept the fact that the Muslim leaders in 1947, petitioned Mr. Ali Jinnah, to incorporate muslim majority divisions of Arakan into the then Est Pakistan ( todays Bangladesh) "TO BE WITH THEIR MUSLIM BROTHERS" after having enjoyed the hospitality of Arakan for generations. having been turned down by Pakistan, the Muslims of Arakan began the Mujahideen Insurgency, which went on for the last 70 years with the 2017/18 result.
When will the todays Muslims ( Rohingyas) accept the fact, that not all claiming to be Rohingyas are entitled to be referred to as Rohingyas, leave alone Myanmar Citizens - as a result of the 1970/71 Bangladesh War of Liberation, more than 500,000 Bangladeshi Refugees crossed into Arakan and these and their descendants, or approx. 1.25 Million have been living in Arakan for the past 48 years.
Accept these fact first, then return to the negotiating table with a clean slate.
