I know your feelings as a "Mother" on your son who is with you now(for his future). That is why you throw away all offers from H.E U Thein Sein and accepted "better offers" from Thura U Shwe Mann, his son U Toe Naing Mann and Dr.Khin Shwe(MP and father-in-law of U Toe Naing Mann)to create a new form of "Dictatorship" in Myanmar.

Reply to this commentDear All Citizens of Myanmar, after meeting with Thura U Shwe Mann in Nay Pyi Daw and U Tay Za in Yangon(at home), Mother Suu had changed her mind and said to be with all Cronies of Myanmar, especially with sons of H.E Thura U Shwe Mann whose two sons monopolized almost 75% of all businesses in Myanmar.

Reply to this commenti'd heard the same excuse in Mid-90s when NLD boycotted National Convention despite NLD's landslide victory in 1990 Election. This time, the State Leader is H.E U Thein Sein and he is not a "difficult" man of many Citizens of Myanmar like His Excellency very much for his decisive moves. But the thing is; His Excellency desperately needs Mother Suu to join in His Excellency's uphill battle to fight Corruption,Cronyism and Nepotism. Most of all, there is "a handful of peoples who hate changes in Myanmar" in which even some MPs involved. This time SU and US already decided to suspend Sanctions and all Cronies will benefit.Farmers and the ordinary citizens of Myanmar will suffer more. So,Tiem and Tide wait for No Man Mother Suu,the choice is yours.

The statements by Dame Aung San, Kurt Campbell and the Italian foreign minister are all reasonable; sanctions have not been lifted, but simply suspended in order to see if the democratization and human rights improvements continue. Trust but verify is the process going forward.
The NLD can adopt a different understanding of the phrase about defending the constitution compared to the military junta's understanding of it.
