This is a very delicate situation since these two individuals having deserted the Tatmadaw, which happens to be one of the most brutal forces the Myanmar people have been facing for last six decades.Because of the unfortunate involvement of the Arakan Army handing them to the ICJ in the Hague,it can be,and will be miscontrued by the Myanmar authorities. One can assume that there are more soldiers and people alike, who were perpetrators and witnesses to the mass killings, rape and arson who are tormented with their guilt and would reveal more according to their conscience, provided they are treated fairly and not harshly by the ICJ.This is just an appeal from a personal viewpoint.
