Thein Maung :

that Indonesia would be prepared to raise the question of the Rohingya problem would be a better solution than the UNHCR who have not provided a solution other than to lay the blame all at the feet of Myanmar - however as Indonesia as one of the founding members of the Panchasila and later ASEAN should as a Major Muslim Nation with a substantial non Muslim population avoid the Muslim/Buddhist as a problem and the Rohingya if they wish to amalgamated within Myanmar must negotiate without reference to their Muslim Brothers - the ROOT CAUSE of the problem, when they petitioned Mr. Ali Jinnah of Pakistan 1946 to incorporate portions of Yakhine State within the then East Pakistan,TO BE WITH THEIR MUSLIM BROTHERS and before Myanmar gained her Independence in 1948 you cannot have your cake and eat it too.
