Yeah right, it's not a political motive but it's a personal one. Ho hates Rainsy because he speaks the truth.

A denial by a liar worth nothing. He and his kinds twist, turn and manipulate realities and truth all their life until death. He and his kinds will not stop at anything to ruin Cambodian lives and push Cambodia into a satellite state of Vietnam, because he and his kinds owe so much gratitude to Vietnam, 7 Makara, attempt to secede in 1993, Vietnam maps to compare with Vietnam UN maps, Dak Hout Dak Dam fiasco. Vietnam gets it all under Hun Sen and CPP, while Vietnam cannot get it all under many Cambodian kings centuries ago, cannot break-up Cambodia in 1954 and cannot take the eastern part of Cambodia in the 70's.

In Cambodia, over 3 decades of Hun Sen rule, there is no "rule of law," but only "RULE OF CPP BAD LAWS" that Hun Sen suppressed the Cambodian people on behalf of Vietnam. Hun Sen owes, deep up to his nose, Vietnam for 7 Makara, for the attempt to secession in 1993, for getting Vietnam maps from Vietnam to show off when compared with the maps borrowed from UN, and for Hun Sen blunder in Paris in 2015 about Dak Dam and Dak Hout that Vietnam officially and publicly claimed to have full sovereignty and for which, perhaps Vietnam implicitly allows Hun Sen to make a small and containable war with Vietnam to create insecurity and allow Hun Sen and CPP to annul the election.

This is just politics as usual in Cambodia and really not news. It is really just a matter of time, perhaps as little as a decade, before some balance is found. Those currently in power are struggling to maintain their grip and will eventually have to be content with owning massive wealth and property at the expense of the people of Cambodia. Hopefully this will be achieved peacefully.

First of all. What is defamation? What qualify as defamation case? Is this case a defamation?

Second, what did stripping of immunity rule say? If the CPP thugs read the rule, Sam Rainsy should NOT be stripped of his immunity. There is no where in there that says defamation case rise to that level where a politician loses his immunity. The CPPs did this because they can. This is what a country has no respect for the Constitution looks like, compare that to the U.S and many others.

Wiki leaks prove that he was a top Khmer Rouge official. Sad that this government is still running this country.

Tell as it is from Phnom Pehn, Cambodia :

This is another Hun Sen's mastermind to create news to wash away the incompetency of Chheang Vun Heng Samrin Hun Sen and all the CPP MP's who, eight years after the conviction , the National Assembly of Cambodia had vested Mr. Sam Rainsy as a member of the National Assembly and organized Sam Rainsy's taking oath before His Majesty the King of Cambodia. Hun Sen's mastermind is to create news to kill the news of CPP's incapacity and blunder.

Okay, if Hor Namhong denied that he didn't pursue the case, then it should be void. In another word, the case should be dropped automatically because his lawyer had no permission to pursue without requesting an executive permission to proceed. Not only to lift the case, the court should be prosecuted his lawyer that he acted alone in conspiracy way. I know this case is not criminal case. So, the court has no absolute power to trial this case anymore once the petitioner publicly announced that he didn't tell his lawyer to do it without acknowledging him prior to dig out an old case to retrial. If it is a criminal case, yes the plaintiff has no power to lift the case once it is in the hand of the court. In this case, Mr. Sam Rainsy is cleaned because 2 things that is in his favor over the case:
1. The case is old and been buried for
long time.
2. The king announced to lift it
3. The National Election Committee
declared to credit Mr. Sam Rainsy to
be a representative and a leader as
well.
4. The plaintiff didn't pursue the case
and his lawyer acted alone without
final approval.

Note: in summary, Hor Namhong is the one that should say sorry to Sam Rainsy because of his lawyer's misdemeanor that dig out an old case without a formal approval from his client which lead the defendant to lose right and damaging credit status. Unless, Hor Namhong told his lawyer to pursue the case, then of course Mr. Sam Rainsy cordially need to say sorry to Hor Namhong. So, Hor Namhong need to publicly apologize to Sam Rainsy.
