This is an excellent moved that Sam Rainsy postponed his returning to Cambodia. He is a great leader that cares the safety of his supporters that may collide with an atrocious third hand. Please think logic and don't feel suspicious of his absent of the returning as scheduled is because he is afraid. Just like he publicly announced that he is not afraid to face the law despite the law system is not justice. The government have mouth to say and defending the quality of the system, but the world and the people know very well how bad it is. They created the law, but translated the meaning to their favor. So, to all his supporters, please trust him. Remember, reaching out and stand together, we are creating a solid shield to bring justice transform our country to advance forward.

Reply to this commentIt seemed that mr Hun Sen administration is afraid of the up coming election which he will face the same situation in Myanmar. This is why he and his judicial court justices try to tople mr Sam Rainsey from office.

Reply to this comment...'Ny Chakrya, a senior official with local rights group Adhoc, said that Sam Rainsy had received parliamentary immunity in 2014 when he assumed office as a lawmaker—long after the final verdict was delivered on his conviction.
“If this [current warrant is for a conviction which] took place before the year 2014, it would become null and void on the same day the National Election Commission [which oversee the country’s polls] recognized Sam Rainsy as a member of parliament,” he said.
“Based on the electoral laws, all [lawmakers] are free of any criminal charges.”...'
Ny Chakrya making a good point. If the law says you can not be a member of parliament if you are convicted of criminally charges, then Sam Rainsy shouldn't have been a member of MP.
Once again, this shows Hun Sin does whatever he wanted and when he wanted.

Reply to this commentCambodia is a weird democracy where near future former prime minister Hun Sen is the head of the executive branch and the judicious branch, and the head of everything including criminal gangs.
His words are the commands for everyone Cambodian, a criminal can turn a hero if Hun Sen says so. At one point, he even intended to advise President Obama how to be a good leader.
He threatened that a civil war will be inevitable if he loses the next general election when realizing a majority of Cambodians are getting sick of his rampant corrupt leadership.
He is nothing different from Gaddafi and Sadam Hussein, he controls everything, if someone dares go against him, he issues court warrant to arrest those.

The more arrest warrants for Some Rainsy, the more famous he is. Remember the road to totally free and democracy is full of hardships and dangers. Rainey has full support of the Khmer people. Look at Burma very recently...Hunsen and his thugs are very scared...
