UN is not going to do a [...] thing about this problem because there is no benefit to them. The West and European community are very busy in chasing after oil rich in the middle east. I would suggest that all Cambodian learn to stand up and fight back by using all necessary tool that they can come up with. Long story short, Cambodian should learn to independently live without crying for someone else help. Just look at the fact. 4 death and 40 wounded, CPP party just laugh their head off because they know that UN is a joke to them.

Reply to this commentThe UN Human Rights Office is 'deeply alarmed'; "We urge the Cambodian authorities..." Heard it all before; what possible reason does the Cambodian Govt have for doing anything differently to the last 20 years? None. What is the UN going to do if they don't investigate thoroughly? Nothing.

Reply to this comment“We urge the Cambodian authorities to launch a prompt and thorough investigation and to ensure full accountability of members of security forces found to have used disproportionate and excessive force,” the statement said.
Please UN, this is amount to lip service. You can't just showing teeth, you have to bite it. Send in your own team of investigators to find the truth. You are asking a serial killer to investigate his own killing. You are out of your mind if you think he would do a thorough investigation if any at all.

Reply to this commentIt is great new to see UN stepping in to put pressure on the government to conduct an investigation over an excessive used by the military to kill a protesters and civilian. I beg you, UN. You must help Cambodia. People are living within fear and below the poverty line because of the country is running by an illegal government along with communist model. This government, cruel soldiers, and government sokemen think that no one can touch them because their powers are so strong like a firewall or bulletproof. Again, I am so happy than word can express to see UN finally steps forward to put pressure on government. This action of the UN not only helps Cambodia, that also send the message to other countries to think twice before tyrannizing their people like an animal.
