Kon Khmer from Sydney, NSW :

The dispute land is important to Cambodia as it will provide easy access to the temple. Without that peace of land you have to claim a steep cliff from the Cambodian side. It must have been the original French intention to keep the temple and the access on the Cambodian side. Hence Annex 1 map.

The so called 4.6 Km disputed land was the Thais fabrication as a pay back for the 1962 decision. To deny Cambodia's full ownership of the temple.

according to the indochina history that although siams keep fighting or crying for that temple so they (siams) will never get it that's according to 1962 agreement.

khemarak from Phnom Penh :

"the court’s 1962 ruling that awarded possession of the temple to Cambodia, but did not take into account the now-disputed land surrounding it."

---> That is what the thais claim. Cambodia doesn't acknowledge there is such disputed area. That's why he ask for reinterpretation to clearify.
Please don't use what the thais claim as fact!
