It is hard to be a good leader and not making mistakes. I just remember that in his raign, eduction was valuable and we felf safe and happy. We had not heard about no one starve because our country had abundance of all resources. He is a good king and we all should appreciate for what he had done for our country and his people. However, he was still a human been and had made mistakes that it is hard to judge. But, our country lost the important leader who had influences on some powerful countries and who could make good relationship and good network with other powerful countries. We could consider him as our treasurer and we lost it. God blesses you, our King.

Dear Cambodian friends.
I am overwhelmed by grief to learn, from our King, of the death of our King,we know perfectly well how deeply we were attached to love the King very much and how greatly we must miss him every minute.
please think that this is the way of world where death is a common experience, and on one succeeds in escaping it.
i feel that we have lost one of our best King.He was so nice and kindness.
Most sincerely yours,

Prince Sihanouk is the Father of Independance.
He is not responsible in the genocide committed by the khmer rouge because he was a hostage during khmer rouge era and many of his children and spouses were also killed by the khmer rouge during that time.
Be honest before judging someone.

He may not be directly responsible for genocide, but he certainly helped bring Khmer Rouge to power because he thought he could get his power back. How wrong he was. In the end, his demise was his own doing.

He was a great king of modern Khmer history !
One of the last icons of world leaders who co-founded the " Non Alligned Movement " ; amound them Nasser, Neru, Sukarno...Those who dared to stand up against western colonialism after the 2nd. World War.
There were mistakes in his handling of national policies but he was trying to keep Cambodia out of the Vietnam war.
Victim of the " cold war " the king could keep Cambodia in peace.
The Khmer people still pay the price of that " cold war " with a Vietnamese dominated puppet Hun Sen regime that kill and destroy the Khmer people everyday.
Farewell my King !
