I told friends well before the flooding that the water festival would be cancelled - because of hun Sen's worries. Hun sen has no interest in the opposition having an excuse to be in PP - he and China are too busy thinking how to prevent a democratic victory so he can hold on to his ill gotten wealth.

Prime Monkey Hun Sen wants to rule the Banana Republic of Cambodia without impunity as he did since the Khmer Rouge.
It is more and more (and should be more and more) obvious to the Democratic West that this Cambodian Banana Republic is MORE COMMUNIST than democratic...
It is only NOW that the HALF of Khmer public is educated about their rights. The other half is still under the spell of the impotent monarchist system and still fears the specter of the communist wrath.
As the pol pot regime died the Hun Sen regime will die under its own arrogance, stupidity and its web of lies. CPP always thinks people are stupid and fearful of their power and cowed to their money.
However, the tide is changing...people had enough of their lies, selfish and greedy arrogance.
