This is an innovative and progressive idea! We would hope that a major accomplishment would be to convert the gauge of ALL Southeast Asian railways to standard gauge, which would be compatible with the Chinese gauge, and allow international travel and transit without a gauge change. A top priority for the first rail route should be to connect Ho Chi Min City and Yangon, VIA Phnom Penh and Bangkok. High speed rail is needed to provide comfortable, efficient, safe, affordable travel, trade, tourism and transit, and employ hundreds of thousands more.
