The only way these civil servants will ever get paid is to band together with the superfriends and eradicate corruption. To start with, the people needs to purge the current regime and their bloodline. It sounds harsh, but it is the ultimate solution. Also, when I say band together, I mean in the hundreds and hundreds of thousands. I would recommend a no-fly zone, but it's not needed.

Reply to this commentI feel your pain Lao teachers and Lao people. The only way to stop this madness is for you to have the courage to demand for a change of regime, not just the government. You need to organize and protest like what Cambodian people are doing. You have to believe this unjust government must go. Lao people must stop being slaves of the members of the Lao People Party.

Reply to this commentLaos has more than enough money to pay all of their public employees. The high ranking officials just decides not to pay them because would rather keep the money for themselves and let the civilians starve and fight among themselves. I thought communism was suppose to be equal distribution of wealth. I love Laos, but I have to agree with a few others that it needs a REGIME CHANGE, soon and swift.

Reply to this commentLaos is very rich. Its revenues from dams, tree trades, land contracts, mining and casinos are in the billions. Paying its public employees is not a problem. The problems are the false information given to the employees.

Reply to this commentA solution to this problem is to end the corruption of those notorious tax collectors. Whatever they collect, they keep %50 or more for themselves.
