European countries and others should stop pouring millions of dollars to Laos. Lao government is useless except depending on foreign aids. Why the world keeps giving money to Laos? Lao government should be punished for human rights and religious violations including freedom of press, speech, free election and democracy. Shame on the world for continuing supporting the Lao government.

ASEAN exists only by name, not by standard, and even worse, it consists of enemies who cannot work together but rather fight against each other. No nation on earth should and can expect ASEAN to come up with solutions to problems, like Sombat's. It cannot do anything. That is why it continues to be quiet and take no action.

First, EU & US have failed to hold Lao’s government accountable for Mr. Sombath disappearance. In Asia, especially Lao, statements after statements will not bring any information and will not bother them a bit; at least action has to be taken.
Second, ASEAN are fragile and weakness. They can’t even scrape their back and how could they handle such high profile case as Mr. Sombath disappearance. What a sham ASEAN!
