Reply to this commentLao commie party-state, how can you do this these poor farmers ? You forced them to give up their lands that your blood-sucking dam-builders friends bought them out for peanuts. You made these farmers move down-stream and gave them lands in order to start new farming. When the dam broke you received relief funds from international agencies and you promised to pay each victim up to US $10,000. Now you will pay only half or even less to these poor souls. Lao commie party-state, you are satan, you are evil. You deserve to disappear from this world because as long as you live you will suck blood until the last drop from Lao people !

Totally agreed to the comments bellows. Not just shaming the government, also sham to the investors and foreign partners too. The compensation asked were a small fraction of what your profits and if you couldn't pay that than how are you going to pay for future incident. If you wanted people to be happy and respect your communist ideology do the right thing to them.
