Lao from AiLaoland :

The Thai junta has no right to seek the extradition of the red shirt activists who take refuge in Laos, they are not criminals but political opponents of the tyranny and dictatorship. The outdated lese-majeste laws in Siam must be abolished in 21st century. There is no lese-majeste law in Laos, the majeste-laws were abolished alongside the monarchy since 1975.

World police from Bkk :

I do not trust Thai media or Thai Military administration at all....they arrested Mr. xaysana at the air port without drug thai police only refer to the arrested drug trafficker so by law thai police cannot arrest him. the worse case senario is that Thai media or Thai police try to say that high ranking offiaical in Laos is behide him which is not true and cannot prove ....becareful the way you introduce the news

World Police from Bkk, it means that you trust Lao police and Lao communist administration ?

Jurist :

The arrest at the Airport was not legal, there was no drug in Xaysana's possession as evidence.

Ma'am I love the fatty smile on your face but I don't see your hands. Probably they are full of blood from the people you sold drug to or the ones you ordered to be killed. Poor Laos. Now the Laotians have to cross the Mekong to find whatever work they could get their hands on. The fortunate ones clean toilets , take care of the household for Thai rich families, drive taxi cabs... and the less fortunate become prostitutes or work in go go bars. You know what. How can you sleep at night ?

Thailand and Laos must join hands to turn both of their people into junkies and hookers so their leaders can get rich easily especially in Laos.

The Thai Junta has been more than motivated to round up the Lao drug dealers by fear they become the major rivals to the Thai drug king pins. Believe or not drug remains one of the main factors in Thai economy next to the sex industry. We have to be naïve enough to believe that the Thai authorities do truly crack down on drug trafficking, which is one of their national interests.

Bad persons are nobody's relatives, nor friends, nor saviors! The only thing they know best is MONEY! They are dangerous to a small nation like Lao PDR. Crime does pay. No pay no gain! Buddha said, "Avoid sin no. 1 and no. 2: Shall not kill and shall not steal." Forgot: No more sacred Buddha statute left in Laos - all sold out.

Same pattern as Sombath Somphone case...
Total silence when the high-ups are deeply involved. Dug their heads in the sand hoping everything would go away with time.
What an image they want to project to the world...! Crooks craving for respect.

To Mr. or Mrs. Anonymous Reader, if the lives of your love ones are in jeopardy then you would shut up too. If you are so brave then why don't you put your real name and last name? Stu...A. You don't know jack!

Really? She doesn't know how this drug lord is making his living? Come on! Who do you think you are fooling girl? Everyone knows that your family, including your father-in-law, your husband in particular, is involved in his business either directly or indirectly. By having you and your family around him gave the signal to all Lao law enforcement officials to look the other way because he is protected by your father-in-law position of power. No wonder, Laos is nothing but a lawless country running by the mafia family like yours. Shame on you and your family!

There are many such drug lords in LAOS protected by the higher ups, aka LAO governement!

Thailand didn't want to ruffle any LAO relation feather, the plugin to thank the LAO authority. LAO authority didn't provide nothing! Thai police noticed him vacationing and allow him one last vacation before rounding him up!
