During the war of national liberation North Vietnam moved the warfare and provision to the South through the Laos territory by the so-called Ho Chi Min trail, making the USA forces to drop millions tons of bombs to stop them thus at the same time destroyed heavily the Laos virgin jungles of precious wood. After the war all the debts that Neo Lao owe to Nord Vietnam must be dismissed so Laos shall not pay back in any form, the timbers included. Laos is even entitled of compensation for damage. The North Vietnamese soldiers have voluntarily sacrificed their life in Laos for their cause of national reunification. Laos doesn't take any responsibility for their lost of life.
