International Rivers as an organization is good for nothing with its shortminded concern! What can you do for Laos the most bombed on earth and the least developped and poorest country.Smart peoples know how to use the natural resources for the development of their countries, for the wellbeing of the their peoples.

I have a doubt about the utility of the so-called MRC! Move its secretariat to Phnom Penh or to Saigon.

Laos doesn’t need the approval from nobody before starting to build the second hydroelectric dam on the Mekong within its territory. Lim Kean Hor needs to inspect the Rahock industry in Cambodia.

It seems that the Lao communist government’s is running out of idea how to improve its political, social and economy. By building many dams on it rivers plus two major controversial dams which currently taking place on Mekong River will not lift Laos from poverty and will not make Laos as center energy provider for its neighboring countries to earn big bucks. This government is destroying our children and grandchildren future.

According to International Rivers, Deetes said the Lao government is “repeating the same tricks that it has used with the Xayaburi dam,” and the MRC needs to take action against the project before time is running out. This is a strong words used by International Rivers organization. If the MRC failed to carry out it duties base on the best interested of the people in the region, they need to pack their bags and go back where they belong. There is no need for an individual or an organization that have a failure policy that did not fulfill its obligation.
