Reply to this commentThe government should take action now to address this issue. Chemicals are killing local people and killing mother earth. Simple logic is that mother earth gets sick, you become sick or are dying. Please stop exploit nature. Use your long term vision. Do you believe in the law of Karma? Beyond the toxic spectre of agricultural chemicals there is the threat of introducing new diseases and pests into Laos from China. So there needs to be close regulation of foreign agriculture in any country and an assurance that foreign interests adhere to national regulations for plant quarantine. whilst chemicals remain in the local environment, pests and diseases can quickly spread throughout the country.
