Klang from Pooperville :

Yes, we would allow Nazi Germany to participate in the Olympics, actually we even allowed them to host the Olympics. Make sure you know your facts before you start spewing life lessons.

Wangchuk from NYC :

Why is North Korea allowed to participate in the Olympic Games? Don't say b/c the Games are not political b/c the Games are intensely political. Even the N. Korean athletes acknowledged this by praising their political leader for their medals. The North Korean regime murders its own people & caused millions to starve. Would we allow Nazi Germany to participate in the Games knowing how they persecuted Jews? North Korea is the same & should not be allowed in the Olympic Games or any int'l events.

I am not disputing this article, but I wonder if you have considered the fact that American football players, for example, also spout the repetitive and idealistic rhetoric of their sport and country. I am a Disney fan, and I hate to point this out. However, how many American athletes have responded, "I'm going to Disney World!" when reporters ask them what they are going to do "next" after they have won national or international titles?
