Trump and his son-in-law Jared Kushner have too many personal investments in China and Hong Kong to target China in the way Trump has targeted several Muslim-majority nations where he doesn't have investments. Also, most of Trump's clothing lines and Ivanka's clothing lines are manufactured in China.

Reply to this commentThe One China Policy is a diplomatic fiction that the USA & other countries profess in order to business with China. But the fact is the PRC has never controlled Taiwan & the CCP has never had jurisdiction over Taiwan. Since 1949, Taiwan has been a defacto independent state. In fact, Taiwan's per capita GDP is higher than the PRC's which shows that Taiwanese are better off without CCP rule.

Well, I supposed Trump has finally come to his senses that 1.3 billion people is more important than the miserable 23 million on Taiwan. Those 23 million miserable souls who balked at the idea of living under China's shadow can always migrate to the US, Canada, Australia , Britain, New Zealand or EU who have been taking in all the terrorists lately. I am sure hard-working people from Taiwan who don't have a religion to shove down the throat of the host country and Sharia laws up the host country's a.....hole will be welcomed by the EU countries.
