As long as the defendant doesn't become a scapegoat for CCP officials' violent crimes during the Cultural Revolution, it is a step in the right direction. As the biggest GPCR criminal of all, Mao Zedong should have his portraits and statues taken down and thrown on the rubbish heap the way Stalin's have been.
