What a waste of money by the paranoid Party-state--stationing at least a platoon of government minders to keep tabs on a harmless retired professor like Sun Wenguang. At times when the regime is particularly fearful, they send over a hundred minders and plain-clothes police. This is a total waste of taxpayer money, as well as proof of the regime's paranoia.
