Wangchuk from NY :

Woeser's house arrest was illegal under Chinese law. The police do not have the legal power to put a citizen under house arrest w/o a court order. There was no court order to put Woeser under house arrest. She has not been charged w/ any crime (nor has she committed one). If the police don't comply w/ the law, then why should ordinary citizens?

U.S invited this woman, Woeser, and she was put under house arrest. Isn't this a disrespect to U.S the Communist Party is showing? I guess this is how the Communists treat their guests. What a shame!
