Don't they know the mounting evidence that religiosity is good for health? Even secular hospitals in the US do often have chapels and chaplain services, such as the UCLA medical center.

"There is less and less room for religion to spread now."......It is good to see religion on the run in China especially Christianity. The Pope has already kowtowed to China and the Protestants will follow soon. Wangchuk and his ilk will be next.

What we're seeing is the return of the Cultural Revolution where anyone not loyal to the Party & its beliefs is ostracized & punished. Xi Jinping wants to be the new Mao. The Chinese communists have always feared religion b/c they can't tolerate anyone believing in a higher authority than the CCP.

China constitution allows freedom of religion. Choose between communists and the afterlife. You can still pray to God in secret, since you will need God's help, we all do.
