The CCP is a sort of soy-sauce vat type of special interest group that turns almost all of its members brown with corrupt and autocratic ways over time. The CCP is far more resistant to the universal values of democratic elections, rule of law, human rights, and constitutional governance than its formerly Leninist cousin, the Guomindang. The CCP is almost entirely unlikely to engage in meaningful political reforms unless forced to by pressures from the society it rules over by fiat.
