Forced to sing praises of the infallible Party leader, Chairman Xi Jinping. Not much different from eulogizing Mao Zedong back during the Cultural Revolution. Some are brainwashed, while others are pretending as if actors on a stage.

Reply to this commentThe more it changes, the more it stays the same. NONE of these reforms will work because only the democratic free-enterprise republic can create long-term prosperity. All socialist governments have eventually failed. China is no exception. Its public debt is massive, exceeding 250% of GDP, and soon to climb to 300%.
President Xi can talk big. It reminds me of the words of Strabo, an historian of ancient Rome. In describing a deceased Roman Senator and General, Strabo said "He achieved power through the usual demagoguery." President Xi is nothing new.

"Coup plot" was probably political rhetoric used to target Xi Jinping's political opponents within the Party. It's easier to fight against your opponents if you call them usurpers. What it does show is there factional infighting in the CCP. The Party is not as united as they try to present themselves in propaganda. There are cracks in the wall & dissenters. But I think ultimately corruption will be the downfall of the CCP.
