Interesting. OC protesters accuse their opponents as Beijing-backed; while Anti-OC protesters accuse OC as "US/UK-backed". Maybe both are true. But why can't both parties acknowledge that there are genuine differences among HK people on this matter?

There is no evidence the US/UK or any foreign country is funding, controlling or organizing the HK democracy protests. It's clearly a grassroots movement. That doesn't mean Western democracies don't morally support the calls of the protestors, but that doesn't translate into control. It's xenophobic paranoia on the part of the CCP who is trying to deflect blame for the problems on foreigners.
