I am from Turkey and my wife is an Uyghur from Xinjiang, China. We both are not religious people. We last year got married and had a happy time and life in China, then we went to Turkey for a honeymoon because my wife wanted to spend our honeymoon in my country. She was also very curious to see my country as it was her very first time going abroad. So we also had a great vacation there. My wife already got a passport long time ago. Before we started off our vacation, in her hometown, she got a phone call by the police, they politely wanted her passport to be returned asap. We returned it and she went somewhere and wrote a paper saying "she promises that she'll come back to china on time blah blah". The first problem started here for us. So, when our honeymoon was over, we went back to Xinjiang. the 3rd day we arrived she suddenly got arrested by the police. First went to get a healthcheck at the hospital then jailed for 20 days. had no cellphone, nothing to communicate with her. After 20 days, they sent her to a political education center. They allowed me see my wife only 10 minutes the first day she was sent to that education center because my visa was about to expire and i had to leave the country the police wanted me to see my wife once before i left. My wife told me shed study 3 months there. in the end i returned to my country. I have still been waiting her. I can't reach her in any ways. Been waiting and worrying for already 2 months...very tough to handle this situation as a girl, just hoping her mental health wouldnt get hurt.
