Beijing's rubber-stamp parliament intervened to blacklist the two elected Hong Kong Legco representatives from ever holding any public office. This is a nakedly authoritarian invalidation of an election in Hong Kong, and shows that Beijing remains hostile to democracy and a diversity of political views.
