Taiwan has been a defacto independent state since 1949 and has never been part of the PRC. Taiwan today is a vibrant democracy unlike China which is brutally ruled by a one-party dictatorship. It's high time we support Taiwan's bid for formal independence & protect it from Chinese imperialism.
