Quite impressive for an academic executive like Vice Dean Li to have the courage to go against the grain of the current climate of mindless conformity to so-called Xi Jinping thought. Unfortunately, this will probably cost Mr. Li his job and will get him black-listed in the PRC. He may have his passport seized, for example, as has happened to many of those who have made public expressions of skepticism toward the party elite's demand for ideological regimentation.
