Mainland china can argue that western media is full of military propaganda too but the difference is that western audiences CAN and ARE allowed to be intellectually discerning when such trashy movies come their way. I mean you don't see trashy movies of the like of American Ninja winning Oscars and Academy awards of which Wolf Warrior 1 and 2 is along the same mentality. Don't get me wrong they are good mindless action, I love american ninja, fun cheesy action, for what they are but for an attempt at some serious Chinese Nationlist propoganda which is what this is quite obviously doing, it's just done too childlessly simplistic and laughable to be taken seriously. Evil Gwai Lows, always the bad guy? yeah USA does this same crap where the white guy has the sun shining out of his arse and all other countries are the bad guys, the populace is well aware of this kinda of garbage but you doing it and forcing your local film groups to award this like a quality film as well makes it believable and justified? Really China, REALLY?! You are just embarrassing yourself. But to be fair, i liked the gwai lo stunt chick, she was really impressive and really kicked arse.

Write a critical review of a ridiculously violent "blockbuster" film and get fired from your job merely because some chief in the ruling party has taken offense at your review. Is this the sort of thing that happens in a country with a normal government?
