Wang's arm around John Kerry? Maybe because John Kerry has many private business interests in China including water bottling plant in Tibet. I would say there is a great deal of "conflict of interest" with many of the US "voices for democracy" .

Reply to this commentWang Yi, your comment is insulting to those who following China closely. I know you got your critics in China under control but not outside China. People living outside China are not subjected to Communist Party oppressive rules. These reporter questions are normal outside of China. If they don't ask these kinds of questions, they don't do their job which they risk of being fired.
Please, Mr. Wang yi, be respectful to people's rights when you are outside of China.

Wang Yi spoke just like the autocrat he is, and represents an autocratic government that has always been unelected since 1949. Ordinary PRC citizens have absolutely no say in selecting the top government officials who rule them--it's done instead by single-party authoritarian communist party elite behind closed doors in secret. So Wang Yi should stop lecturing foreign reporters condescendingly about the "Chinese people," who have no say at all over how the communist party elite exercise monopolistic power in China.
