Zhao Lijian's ridiculous statement that "Perhaps the corona virus was brought by the US Army to Wuhan" mimics Putin's St. Petersburg troll farms' conspiracy theorists. They often preface a conspiracy theory designed to blacken the reputation of an "enemy," here the U.S. Army, with the word "Perhaps" as a cunning way of eventually backing out from the baseless accusation.
