Ed from Colorado Springs :

I have visited Cambodia twice in the last two years. I'm American and I find Cambodians to be some of the nicest, most hospitable people on the planet. However, the Chinese influx into Cambodia, primarily around Sihanoukville makes tourism there uncomfortable. They are rude to Cambodians and all foreigners. As a result, Cambodia will lose not only the western money, but will make no money off the Chinese. The lack of safety in building Chinese hotels and Casinos are also costing the Cambodians their lives. It's very sad!

Increase in Chinese tourists is not a positive. They bring in less revenue than tourists from other countries, and at the same time they drive out tourists from other countries, making it a double whammy.
