I hate the lese- majeste laws! the king is not a divine creature which is immune if criticism and insulting!In the US people insult Donald Trump with impunity!

Reply to this commentThere is a genuine danger that this law (forbidding insults to the royal family) will be abusively applied to target those who or whom the goverment doesn't like!

The roles of a King is to protect the kingdom, increase the wealth and trade of the kingdom, as well as to take care of the poor redistributing the tribute paid as necessary. MEANING PROTECTING YOUR PEOPLE! This is the ideal of the monarchic structure, and in the best of days, it worked.

The King is doing his best, as he must cooperate with Hun Sen or else. When things get better after Hun Sen dies, the King will help more. Pray for him and his family, his people.
