I usually don’t make a point about other country issues for I don’t command all the details and understand their cultures, but I’ll make an exception on this – for it’s very close to VN.
First, I’m sick of all these groups and boards! Unless they have fangs (like an army with arsenals), then their policies are nothing more than a meaningless threat. Idiot dictators and blood thirst revolutionaries don’t fear words on printed papers. They fear bombs, tanks, and guns only. Like the UN will ever win a war for anybody! The boards have their place when peace, cordial, and economic are on the upswing.
Oh, so the boards can boycott them – you say! Countries as VN, Cambodia, and Laos have done with so little for so many years (I apologize if I overstep my assumption here!), lacking a few more things can’t kill them. Besides they got means and methods to the black market anyway. It’s the people that are affecting the most by these sanctions.
Again, I don’t believe these issues have a simple resolution. But, one can’t fully understand and be affected from a distance; to me; one needs to be in a country in order to deal with this madness – head on! Hence, it’s nice to have a backing of an army! Stop dreaming, this is chaos, one can’t talk terms unless the ‘bad guys’ are suppressed by forces.
You know, we need to burn all the communist manifesto books and manuals. Idiot like Ho chi minh did read it and ‘wanna-be’ Pol Pot did read it also.
