I didn't know that South Vietnam had a frogmen program. It would be interesting if he could tell the story from his perspective on why he volunteered with Norris on this seemingly suicide mission.

Thank you, Mr Southerland, for this informative article and your years of working close to the armed forces of South VN and its people. Your article help me learn and research more about the Lien Doi (later became Lien Doan) Nguoi Nhai VNCH of which Mr. Kiet Nguyen was an exemplified member. About the Vietnam War series, they left out a lot of ARVN soldiers that could help younger generation viewers understand more about the American's alliance in the war. I grew up after the war but heard older Viets, especially those in ARVN that stayed back and spent time in those commie's "re-education camps", saying that it's dangerous to be a friend or alliance with the US but it's always glorious and good to be it's enemy.
