Reply to this commentEver since the Party's 1989 crackdown, high party-state officials have feared the repercussions of publicly admitting, much less apologizing for, the party-state's persecution of dissidents. Yu Jie will probably need to wait for the implosion of the Party's monopolistic control over state and society before he receives such an apology.

It's high time the CCP's monopoly on power end & its dynasty removed from power. The power should be given to the Chinese people to elect their own leaders, not have these decision made for them by a small group of men (the Politburo).
