PRC GDP growth figures are laughably padded in order to follow their fudged estimates. The GDP metric has been puffed up so routinely in the PRC that it should be disregarded totally and replaced with such benchmarks as raw industrial output, commercial shipping figures that can be verified by satellite imagery, electricity output, and the like.
