"In March, for example, GAC said China's imports from Hong Kong rose over 116 percent, while Hong Kong said its exports to China fell 11 percent, the Financial Times said."

I suspect that if this keeps up, China will pressure Hong Kong not to publish information on trade with China. Too often, the government in China "fixes" problems in the worst possible way.
